Cross-Country Skiing In Appleton Farms, Ipswich, MA., January 10-11.

Mike is the co-publisher of SeniorsSkiing.com. His skiing career started at Song Mountain NY in his college days. He worked for SKIING magazine in the early 70s, learned to love cross-country, took a 20 year hiatus from skiing and came back to short skis and efficient boots. When Jon Weisberg suggested there should be a site for senior skiers, he joined him in developing SeniorsSkiing.com.

I hope you were able to get a ski in before the melt!
I cross country ski here on Cape Cod, the weather is always a challenge.
Often I am out on the streets by my home before the plows come.
Yes, Mary Ann, two beautiful days before the melt. Appleton is a treasure: beautiful trails and fields, park-like surroundings. No services but none really needed. We wrote several stories about Appleton for SeniorsSkiing. It’s the oldest working farm in America. Grant from Charles I in 1638 to John Appleton, one of the original Puritans.
