Most Do, Many Don’t.

Here are the results of our latest poll.  We are curious about why people do and don’t.  Please let us know in the “Comments” section below.  And, we are researching an article on stretching for an upcoming issue.  There are some exercise and physical therapists who say it’s essential, and some who say maybe not so much. We shall see.

    I heard from a physical therapist that it is more important to get the blood flowing before exercising. So my warm-up is to park a good distance away from the lodge and walk up with my equipment.

    Yes I stretch a lot.

    Yes, I stretch every day….sometimes twice a day. I do about 15 minutes of stretching and my gym workout is about 50 % stretching. I recommend it for everyone..

      One of our favorite writers, John Jerome, wrote a book on stretching in 1999 called Staying Supple. He was a major enthusiast for seniors and stretching and perhaps a pioneer in that area.
